About Teacher

Mr. Cutter joined the Carr faculty in 2017 where he teaches Vocal I, II, and III and conducts the Carr Choraliers. Prior to Carr, Cutter served as the K-9 assistant principal and Career and Technical Education director at Pike Road Schools; additionally, he was the music specialist and choral conductor at Wilson Elementary and Highland Gardens Elementary. He obtained his vocal/choral music education degrees from Alabama State University and Auburn University as well as an instructional leadership degree from Alabama State University. Currently, Cutter is completing a doctorate program in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Law at Alabama State University. 

Mr. Cutter has a combined twelve years of experience in choral conducting and music education. He has conducted and taught elementary, secondary, collegiate, community, and church choirs. Additionally, Cutter also conducts A cappella vocal music workshops and arts integration professional development. He is a member of the American Choral Director's Association and the National Association for Music Educators. Cutter has one daughter, Jamiya.
