Unfinished Business

The varsity boys team has some unfinished business to take care of this season. Coach Jerry Davenport and his team finished the '14-15 season in 3rd place as the seventh grade squad. The new season begins their quest is to become City Champions for '16. They are off to a great start winning against Floyd the first game of the season. They defeated McKee easily and begin the season with a 2-0 record.

The Jaguars have the toughest schedule in the league. They must face last years seventh grade champions twice as well as McKee, Bellingrath and Southlawn. All of these teams were top four finishers last season. They lost a heart breaker in the last seconds to Capitol Heights (last years' seventh grade champions) by one point. The winning shot attempt fell short at the buzzer.

The Jaguars will travel to Bellingrath on December 3rd to face the unbeaten Buc and to Southlawn and Brewbaker on the 8th and 10th respectively. The final games of the first half of the season will bring the Jaguars back home against Dunbar Ramer on December 15th and they travel to Georgia Washington on the 17th.

Coach Davenport has great hope to bring the championship back to Carr. Varsity boys won the last championship in 2010.
